Tourist arrival up in Punhill


The number of tourists visiting Punhill in Myagdi district has increased in 2012 as compared to the previous year.

The number of tourists visiting the area at Ghar VDC-1 in Myagdi district along the Annapurna trekking route was up by around 8,000 in 2012, reports RSS. The highest number of tourists (6,154) visited the region in mid-October to mid-November in 2012.

A total of 22,375 tourists had visited the area in 2011. According to the Chief at the Area Police Office, Ghodepani, assistant sub-inspector Dhan Bahadur Thapa a total of 30,000 tourists visited the area in 2012.
