Six Sherpa brothers of Beding village in Dolakha district have set a new record after climbing the highest peak of the world, the Mount Everest 24 times.
According to Nabang Yangden Sherpa, president of the Summiters? Club, two of the Sherpa brothers Nimagombu Sherpa and Mingma Chhiri Sherpa climbed the Everest ten times each and other four brothers Ang Chhiri Sherpa, Thundum Sherpa, Nimatemba Sherpa and Pasang Tenjen Sherpa scaled the peak once each.
Among the seven brothers, the third one Pema Thabing Sherpa was also trying to scale the summit but has not been successful yet, family sources said.
Beding village itself has set a series of records in climbing the Everest.
